COVID vaccination certification
We are unable to issue this certificate at the practice.
Proof of your vaccination status, is available on the NHSapp.
The NHSapp can be downloaded from here for iPhone or here for android.
Alternatively, you can call the NHS helpline on 119 and ask for a letter to be posted to you. This must be at least 5 days after you’ve completed your course of the vaccine, the letter may to take up to 5 days to reach you.
National COVID-19 Vaccination Programme
We understand that people are anxious to be invited for their COVID-19 vaccinations. We are working very hard to invite people in the priority groups identified by the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation as quickly as we can.
Please help us by not contacting us to ask about your appointment. We will contact you when it’s your turn.
If you have received a letter from the NHS Covid-19 Vaccination Booking Service inviting you to book an appointment at a vaccination centre, you can book as advised in the letter or wait to be invited by your GP surgery.
Please do not contact or visit your GP surgery to ask when they will contact you. We are working as quickly as we can to get to everyone in the priority groups.

Clinically vulnerable patients list ( previously shielding): The CCG Communications team have helpfully put together the following which practices may wish to post to their websites.
People who have been identified as clinically extremely vulnerable do not have to shield, but are advised to stay at home as much as possible, except to go outdoors for exercise or to attend essential health appointments. Read the full government guidance here
As part of the second lockdown, patients who have been identified as at high risk (clinically extremely vulnerable) from coronavirus (Covid-19), have been sent letters this week. The letters contain advice on how to take extra steps to protect yourself. There is no need to obtain a FIT note for your employer if you are unable to go to work the letter you will have received from the Government will suffice.
The clinically vulnerable list has been increased to cover new conditions, so some patients will be receiving letters for the first time.
If you have a booked appointment or flu vaccination please attend as normal – if anything changes we will contact you directly. Please do not worry if you need medical help - please contact us, by phone or online as usual

Your GP practice is open, and we are operating in a safe way during the pandemic
•You should contact us if you notice a change that isn’t normal for you or if you have a symptom that you are worried about
•If you need to get in touch, we are ready to help you safely. You will be able to talk through your concerns on the phone or via a video consultation (if you need to be seen it will be in a non-COVID area/GP practice to add individual details on safety procedure)
•If needed, we can arrange tests in the safest way possible.
•If you need to see your GP or specialist, they will follow strict guidance on infection control to protect themselves and other patients. This might include wearing personal protective equipment and restricting the number of people allowed on the premises at any one time.
FLU CAMPAIGN 2020
Thank you for your patience waiting for appointments to be released for the flu vaccinations this year.
The planning and co-ordination of the flu clinics this year has been incredibly challenging due to the mandatory restrictions we are all adhering to in order to protect patients and staff during the covid19 pandemic.
The Practice has already contacted those patients in the “shielding” group to allow booking for these patients first.
The medical staff will continue to offer vaccination in booked appointments if you are attending the surgery for other reasons, where appropriate.
We will be running clinics throughout October and November.
During our vaccination clinics the medical staff will need to wear PPE meaning changes between patients and cleaning of the clinical rooms. We need to maintain social distancing between patients, so are waiting room will not be crowded this year as in previous years. Everything is taking longer.
We will do our best as we always do and we our grateful for your support.
Patients aged 50 to 64 not in an at-risk group –
Whilst we have received information that all 50-64 year olds may be eligible for a free flu vaccination as part of plans to protect more people against seasonal flu, these free vaccinations will be subject to delivery later in the year. This allows us to focus on those who are in an at risk group, such as pregnant women and people with long term health conditions. They will be given priority and offered the vaccine first.
If you are aged 50-64, and not in one of the at risk categories, you will be made aware in the coming months if you will be able to attend for vaccination. If the programme is extended this is likely to be November or December. Of course if you wish to access a vaccine prior to this date you can pay to have this at your local pharmacy as in previous years, otherwise please wait for more information.
